How Can Precision Medicine, Genetic Testing, and Biomarkers Support Better Healthcare Decisions?

18 June 2026 | 9:00–10:00 CET

Join us for an ASCERTAIN webinar exploring how genetic testing and biomarker profiling are transforming healthcare. These technologies are enabling more personalised treatment strategies, particularly in cancer care. At the same time, they raise important questions about evidence generation, affordability, reimbursement, and implementation in healthcare systems.

This webinar will examine the role of biomarkers and genetic testing from a health economics and health technology assessment (HTA) perspective. Speakers will discuss current challenges and opportunities related to cost-effectiveness, budget impact, reimbursement decision-making, and the integration of precision medicine into healthcare systems.

Drawing on research and experiences from the ASCERTAIN project, the session will highlight how transparent and adaptable modelling approaches can support access to innovative health technologies.
